What's the secret in keeping a wife happy?

I have been married for more than 10 years now, and still, I am very happy being with my husband and my two kids. The secret? Nothing. The truth is, the answer is within us, both the husband and wife. It always takes two to tango, as they say, all we have to do is to take time in finding the answer. As much as possible, it's best to search for the key together, to keep that partnership at hand.

Others may say that a wife can be kept happy if there's a continuous flow of budget in her hand, I mean - financially satisfied. This is just one part of it, and is the least part, as I may say. Some says, it's the children who makes the wife happy, yeah, sort of, but not fully. A kid can complete the "woman" in her, but not the "wife". Yes, they are two separate entities within a woman, and the one we want to know more would be the "wife" part of a woman.

The wife is a definite partner of a husband, right? As how we learned it in English 101 during our pre-school or elementary days. Every living animals were created with a partner, as how I read it in the Bible's book of Genesis. From there, we can get an idea on what focus we need to be on, when learning about happiness of a wife.

As what I've said, there's really no secret. It's already been exposed just for us to find and practice in life.

How? To keep a wife happy in a wife's perspective, husbands need to remember the following:

First, be a husband to your wife. As a husband, you need to know what your role is.

Second, give her attention. A wife needs to be given attention, every minute of your life as a husband. Think of the times when you were still trying to court your wife to be your girl. Those times when you still send her love letters, sweet chocolates, stuffed toys, and other things that you used to give or say just to make her giggle. Keep that sweetness alive everyday.

Third, know your wife. Everyday, you are together, so it's really empirical to know each other. Without this, you would never understand how and why she reacts, and vice versa.

Fourth, understand her. A wife needs understanding. There are things that a man may never understand on a woman. But I believe that a husband can find a way to understand his wife simply because, you took time to know her.

Fifth, care for her. Well, this is given. You wouldn't marry your wife if you don't care for her, right?

Sixth, pray together. Yeah, this will make her happy. This shows that you want to find some time to be with her while talking to God. This will also bless your family and you as a couple.

Seventh, talk to her. Make sure that in a day, please, do not fail to talk to your wife. Even just a simple joke, or anything that can make her laugh or share thoughts about anything.

Eight, be romantic. Romance should never be removed from your daily activities as a couple. This will keep the fire alive in your relationship, and will definitely make her happy.

Ninth, be thoughtful. Remember the important and significant dates like her birthday, your anniversaries (yes, we have more than 1 anniversary, one is when I agreed to be his girl, second is when we married, etc), other members of the family's birthday or special occasions.

Tenth, last but not the least, love her. This is the most important thing and will definitely help you in knowing how to make your life happy. Love is really powerful as it's God's gift to us.

Always remember that your wife is God's gift to you, to be your partner in life.
